I was thrilled to find a snowsuit that is also safe while my baby is in his car seat! Hits all the marks: versatility, quality, and style.
Pro: I love the concept of having a coat that my baby can wear and it be safe.
Cons: I am glad I read the reviews and I sized up. The coat does run small and even though I sized up it seems to fit a bit small on my baby. I am hoping my baby can use it for at least 2 months. Another con is that it’s not so easy to get the baby in and out as fast as I thought.
I chose the 3/6 coat and unfortunately it was too small. My baby has just turned 3 months and it doesn't fit. The torso area is pretty short compared to other coats I've purchased, it's the length of a couple of 0/3m coats that I own. The coat wouldn't even close over his shoulders, he wasn't wearing any additional layers either, just a standard onesie.
Luckily I also purchased a 6/9m coat since winters last long here. That one fits him perfectly, for now.
As a cpst we know that wearing regular clothes is what is safest. However no matter how many times we tell parents this, they ultimately make their own decisions. I am absolutely pleased with this safer option for caregivers to keep their babies warm. Its light and thin but still offers a nice warm protection.
It is strongly suggested to not size up so you don't get extra bulk behind your child. I will continue to add this to my suggestions for parents.
