  We were in aisle 6 at the grocery store just grabbing a quick can of tomato sauce when I noticed that unmistakable squish on my side and warmth. My baby, smiling and had executed what can only be described as a Level 10 blowout.

  Not just any leak we’re talking up the back, down the onesie, and all over my shirt situation.

  Cue the meltdown (mine, not the baby’s).

  Blowouts happen when your baby’s diaper can’t contain everything and gravity, pressure, or movement helps it escape. At night, the problem gets worse because:

  • 💩 Poop pools backward as your baby sleeps on their back

  • 🛌 Longer sleep stretches = fuller diapers

  • 👶 Kicking and rolling displaces even well-fitted diapers

  • 🍼 Formula or milk changes = more unpredictable bowel movements
