Why are you making pajamas?
Reason 1: I pick out prints for the Toastiest line every Spring and its so hard to narrow down the ones I like best so I decided to make jams too!
Reason 2: Running a seasonal business is hard (many seasonal businesses can't stay open) selling jams helps me keep the business alive, keeping car seat coats on the market and keeping kids safely buckled.
I came back to this page hoping to update the text of my review after being contacted by the company. I realized that my previous review didn’t convey the message I was hoping to give. However, when I came back to the page I see that my review has been deleted! Probably since I was the only review to mention that the pjs are not completely leak proof.
I bought one of these for my four month old in preparation for upcoming car and plane travel. We are seriously struggling with blowouts the moment they happen. My daughter will be eating in my lap, I will hear her go to the bathroom, and it will immediately soak through her outfits. We have tried multiple diaper brands and are working to figure out this issue. I am not letting her sit with a dirty diaper on purpose.
The response from the company implied that I was trying to keep my daughter in a dirty diaper for multiple hours on purpose. It was a kind, well meaning message, and it made me realize I should have worded my review differently. I am NOT hoping this product would let me go hours on end without changing her diaper.
I would love to be able to change my daughter the moment she has gone to the bathroom but this is not always possible. Sometimes I am unaware that she has gone to the bathroom since it doesn’t seem to bother her. Additionally, if I am traveling on a plane, I might not be able to get up and change her for a while due to turbulence, a long landing/taxi to the gate, or for other various reasons. When traveling by car, if I am unaware that she has a dirty diaper it might be two hours before we stop (two hours is the suggested time limit in a car seat for her age) or it might be a while before there is a safe place to pull over.
I saw this product online and was very hopeful that it might be the solution to my problem. The $39.99 ($33.99 with a discount code) price was significantly more than the average price I would like to pay for pjs that my daughter will outgrow in a couple of months, but the advertising showed a great product and the reviews were good.
In anticipation of traveling soon, I tried out this blowout blocker outfit twice. Once overnight and once for a one hour car ride. During the one hour car ride, my daughter went to the bathroom and the outside of the pjs had some leakage (see photo). These pjs are advertised to protect car seats/parents’ laps/etc especially during travel. After my test run, I don’t believe these work completely as advertised on their website and instagram. Yes, they will (hopefully) cause a smaller mess, but the complete mess free outside seen in their photos and videos isn’t what I experienced 1 out of the 2 times I have used this product. For the price, I don’t believe I received the quality of product I was hoping for. On our upcoming travels I could still have had a mess within a normal amount of time.
My two star rating is mainly for the false advertising. If I had seen images or videos showing LESS mess compared to other brands instead of NO mess, then I would have been able to make a better informed decision on whether this item was worth $33.99 for my family.

I bought these pjs for my daughter and she loves them! I love that the wrist and feet fold over. The bamboo makes the pjs so soft and they are stretchy which is so nice for a growing little one! Highly recommend!!
