The Toasty is our original car seat safe coat upgraded with sustainable Seawool insulation. Warm, slim, and fast, it keeps your little one buckled in safely while protecting the planet.
As a mom, I was frustrated with unsafe, bulky traditional coats that didn’t fit car seats and left my kids cold without coats in emergencies. I worked with Child Passenger Safety Technicians and rescue responders, tested coat after coat, and designed one that actually works for parents.
Are They Safe?
Every coat is crash tested and CPST approved. The coats have a thinner back panel and Secure Me Strips™ on the shoulders that allows the harness to sit directly on your child’s chest and shoulders for the perfect harness fit.
We know safety is not only about fit. Our coats are also all PFOA/PFAS-free, because forever chemicals don’t belong in children’s clothing.
And if you ever face an emergency on the road, the coat is designed to keep your little one warm while you wait for rescue.
Are They Warm?
The coats are insulated with Seawool a material made of crushed oyster shells and recycled water bottles. Seawool is thermoregulating and breathable, but also warmer than traditional fill. It creates countless tiny air pockets that hold heat like nature’s perfect insulator.
The outer fabric is wind and water resistant, perfect for snowy outdoor play. The inside has a cozy fleece lining and kangaroo pockets for extra warmth for tiny and fingers.
Are They Bulky?
Typical winter coats look puffy but aren’t actually warm. That’s because the fill is blown in, leaving cold “leaky spots” where stitching breaks up the insulation.
We use intact Seawool panels that stay in place. This eliminates cold gaps, creating a slimmer coat that is actually warmer than down. Your child stays safely buckled in the car seat and comfortable without the marshmallow puff.
